PRAYERS of the FAITHFULL:
(One of the seamen could be invited to read the following prayers:)

with the normal flow of life, they may not feel excluded,
but rather that the hardness of their life may enrich their hearts.
Lord hear our prayer.
ALL: Lord hear us.
Lec: Let us pray for all seamen, - who feel lonely;
that they may meet up with fine people, - who will show them
by their friendship - the real meaning of the "Love of God".
Lord hear our prayer.
ALL: Lord, have mercy.
Lec: Let us pray for all seamen, - who have difficulties over their
belief in God - and for those who are in search of God,
that they may discover Him - in the charity and care of their
fellow people.
Lord, hear our prayer.
ALL: Lord have mercy.
Lec: Let us pray for all people on board ship, - that God may protect
and help them - while they are using their skills to sail their ship.
That God the Father may also protect their families - and loved
ones at home.
That God will give them the courage - for mutual understanding
on boardship, - so that they may feel happy and boardship and
ashore.
Lord hear our prayer.
ALL: Lord have mercy.
Short silence for private prayer ....
Cel: Father hear our prayers spoken and unspoken.
Keep us savely in your love
and let us always be close to you. Amen.

Cel: Blessed are you Lord, God of all creation. - Through your
goodness we have this bread and wine, - which earth has
given and human hands have made. - It will become for us
the source of eternal life.
Let us pray together to be acceptable to God
the Almighty Father.
ALL: May the Lord accept us for the praise and glory of his name.
EUCHARISTIC PRAYER:

ALL: And also with you.

Cel: Father, all powerful and ever-living God, - we do well always
and everywhere - to give you thanks through Jesus Christ our
Lord. - In love you created man, in justice you condemned him,
but in mercy you redeemed him.
(Weeks before Christmas)
His future was proclaimed by all the prophets. The Virgin
Mother bore him in her womb with love beyond all telling.
John the Baptist was his herald and made him
known when at last he came. In his love he has filled us with
joy as we prepare to celebrate his birth, so that when he
comes he may find us watching in prayer, our hearts filled
with wonder and praise.
(Christmas)
In the wonder of the carnation your eternal Word was
brought to the eye of faith, a new and radiant vision of your glory.
In Him we see our God made visible and so are caught up
in love of the God we cannot see.
(The 40 days before Easter)
You bid your faithful people cleanse their hearts - and prepare
with joy for the pascal feast. - More fervent in prayer, more
generous in works of charity, - more eager in celebrating the
mysteries by which we are reborn - may we come
to the fulness of grace - that belongs to the children of God.
(Eastern)
In his risen body he plainly showed himself to his
disciples - and was taken up to heaven in their sight - to claim
for us a share in his divine life
Cel: Through Christ the choirs of the angels - and all the powers of
heaven praise and worship your glory. - May our voices blend
this theirs as we say / sing:
ALL: Gloria, gloria in excelsis Deo! Gloria, gloria alleluia, alleluia!
Glory to God in the highest, - and peace to God´s people
on earth. - Lord God, heavenly king, almighty God and
Father, - we worship You, we give You thanks.
We praise You for Your glory.
Gloria........
Cel: Father your are holy indeed - and all creation rightly gives you
praise. - All life, all holiness comes from you.
ALL: Therefore we acknowledge your greatness - and ask you
to accept us as we are, - we, whom you have told,
to preserve - and to rule the world and to serve you.
Cel: Father as redeemer and example, you sent your only Son.
He was conceived through the power of the Holy Spirit
and born of the Virgin Mary.
To the poor he proclaimed the good news of salvation,
to prisoners, freedom and to those in sorrow, joy.
ALL: That we might live no longer for ourselves but for him,
he sent the Holy Spirit from you Father - as his first gift
to those who belief - to complete his work on earth
and to bring us to the fullness of grace.
Cel: Father, may this Holy Spirit sanctify Your gifts. Let them
become the body and blood of Jesus Christ our Lord.
While they were at supper, he took bread, said the
blessing, broke the bread and gave it to his disciples, saying:
TAKE THIS ALL OF YOU AND EAT IT, THIS IS MY BODY,
WHICH WILL BE GIVEN UP FOR YOU:
In the same way, he took the cup filled with wine saying:
TAKE THIS ALL OF YOU AND DRINK FROM IT: THIS IS
THE CUP OF MY BLOOD, THE BLOOD OF THE NEW AND EVERLASTING COVENANT.
IT WILL BE SHED FOR YOU AND FOR ALL, SO THAT SINS
MAY BE FORGIVEN. DO THIS IN MEMORY OF ME.
Let us proclaim the mistery of the faith:
ALL: Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again.
Cel: In memory of his death and resurrection, - we thank You for
this life giving bread and this saving cup.
ALL: We thank you for counting us worthy - to stand in your
presence and serve you.
May all of us, who share in this Body and Blood of Christ -
be brought together in the unity of the Holy Spirit.
Cel: Lord, remember your church throughout the world - and all your
people here present, - all on boardship and at home -
and those, who seek you with a sincere heart.
ALL: Remember all,who have gone to their rest - in the hope of
rising again - specially those who died at sea, - bring them
and all the departed - into the light of your presence.
Cel. and ALL:
Because through him, in him, and with him
in the unity of the Holy Spirit - all glory and honour is yours
Almighty Father - for ever and ever. Amen.
The LORD'S PRAYER:

Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,

As we forgive those who sin against us,
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory,
For ever and ever. AMEN.
Cel: Lord Jesus Christ, you said to your apostles:
I leave you peace, my peace I give you. - Look not on
